Kevin Lajiness Although of historical importance the Author here totally disregards the fact that these people played a central part in populating and opening the west, they made the trade routes and sparked a new breed ,the metis, (Mostly fur traders) that even had there own language and were the peaceful joining of the french and the indigenous of the North America in the common good
